Optimum, Kinowelt drive off with K5's Vehicle 19

K5 International has sold Vehicle 19, starring Paul Walker, to Optimum Releasing for the UK and Kinowelt for Germany just days after coming on board as international sales agent for the film. (Both distributors are divisions of StudioCanal).

Vehicle 19 has also gone to Falcon in the Middle East.

K5 acquired all international rights to the film excluding the US from Buried producer Peter Safran and Ryan Haidarian, former head of production and development at the NFVF who are producing the action thriller. Paul Walker will executive produce.

Directed by Mukunda Michael Dewil, Vehicle 19 sees Walker’s character unwittingly pick up the wrong rental vehicle, having just got off a long haul flight. He soon realises that he is the target of an entire police force that will use any means necessary to stop him and the tied-up female “passenger” he discovers in the trunk, from getting to the courthouse to testify against top-to-bottom corruption.
