EXCLUSIVE: Rainmark Films are working in partnership with Beta to take on film rights to Derek B Miller’s novel Norwegian By Night.
Rainmark Films’ Tracey Scoffield and Frank Doelger are working in partnership with Germany’s Beta Film to take on film rights to Derek B Miller’s acclaimed novel Norwegian By Night.
The story follows an elderly ex-Marine living in Oslo who witnesses a murder. He tries to keep the victim’s son safe while being chased by the murderers and the police.
The deal was struck with Miller’s literary agency Janklow & Nesbit and is currently in development with a director soon to be attached.
Scoffield said: “This is a brilliant story: an action packed thriller with brains behind it - the sort of book a world class director would love to get their hands on.”
Rainmark is in Cannes with Stephen Frears’ Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight, which premieres tomorrow.
