Elevated genre production company Snowfort Pictures and MPI’s Dark Sky Films have started production on Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch’s Hollywood-set occult tale.
Snowfort’s founder and CEO Travis Stevens produces Starry Eyes and MPI is selling international rights in Cannes on the project, which raised its original round of financing on Kickstarter.
Amanda Fuller, Fabianne Therese, Pat Healy, Shane Coffey, Marc Senter, Nick Simmons and Noah Segan star in the film described as being in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby.
John Jarzemensky, Aaron Koontz, Giles Daoust and Gena Wilbur serve as executive producers.
“Starry Eyes utilises the same approach genre films from the 1970s used, where the horror stems from the character and what they are going through and where the horror represents the internal working of a character,” said Widmyer and Kolsch, who co-wrote the screenplay.
