In the run up to the AFM, German sales outfit Sola Media/AtrixFilms has sold Simon Aeby's historical epic Shadow Of The Sword to Brazilian distributor Casablanca Films.

Benelux rights have been taken by F.E.G. and AQS acquired allrights for Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Shadow Of The Swordcomes billed as "a tale about love, courage and faith put to the test by theruthless arm of the Church Inquisitionin its drive to stamp outreformation in 16th century Europe."The cast features NikolaiCoster-Waldau, Peter McDonald, Steven Berkoff and Eddie Marsan among others.

The film is slated for theatrical releases in Austria (Filmladen)and Switzerland (Columbus Film) on January 19, 2006.
