Daniel Monzon’s thriller Cell 211 picked up best film and best actor for Luis Tosar’s performance at the Jose Maria Forque awards on January 28.
Cell 211 beat off tough competition from Agora, The Dancer And The Thief, The Secret In Their Eyes and Yo Tambiento take the top film prize.
Other award winners include Jorge Blanco and Javier Abad’s Planet 51($16.3m at the Spanish box office), which picked up best animation/documentary, and Lola Dueñas who took the best actress prize for her role in the moving drama Yo Tambien, for which she won the same prize at San Sebastian last year.
