Magnet Releasing has acquired North American rights to Jeong-won Shin’s South Korean film Chawz about a giant pig that terrorises an idyllic countryside region.
Magnet’s senior vice-president Tom Quinn and Peter Van Steemberg negotiated the deal with Finecut’s Youngjoo Suh and Luna Kim.
“If Jawswas looking to branch out to dry land, without a doubt he’d want to be Chawz,” Quinn said. “Another worthy addition to the Korean monster hall of fame and the Magnet Releasing library.”
