Cinedigm this week reported the biggest quarter in its history in terms of digital cinema installation.
The company said it installed 1,427 screens in fiscal 2012 second quarter. The second highest quarter in Cinedigm history was the fiscal 2012 first quarter with 642.
All in all the company has signed 9,667 digital screens for deployment and installed close to 8,000 total digital screens with 154 exhibitors nationwide.
Cinedigm also announced this week that it has signed a deal to sell certain of its physical and electronic distribution assets to Technicolor. The deal includes global software license agreements related to its digital theatrical and trailer distribution business.
The agreement was first announced on July 27 and is expected to close in November subject to customary and limited closing conditions.
