Joseph Gordon-Levitt will receive the CinemaCon Breakthrough Filmmaker Of The Year Award on Apr 18.
Gordon-Levitt, riding high on the global success of Looper, premiered his feature directorial debut Don Jon’s Addiction [pictured] at Sundance in January, where Relativity snapped up US rights in a highly publicised deal. Voltage Pictures financed the project and handled international sales.
“Having already been embraced by moviegoers and critics alike with his diverse list of acting credits, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is sure to establish himself as one of the most exciting new directors in movies today with the release of his directorial debut Don Jon’s Addiction,” said CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser.
CinemaCon is scheduled to run at Caesars Palace from Apr 15-18.
