French sales company Coach 14 has announced a remake deal for Guillermo Fernandez Groizard's thriller Proyecto Dos with LA-based Rosa Entertainment.
The original, directed by Guillermo Fernandez Groizard, is set in contemporary Madrid where a biochemist discovers that his ordinary life is not what he thinks. Buena Vista released the film in Spain in January last year.
Coach has also concluded deals on Un Homme Et Son Chien, a remake of Vittorio De Sica's Umberto D. It was picked up by David Matous Communications for Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia. MCF acquired it in Ex-Yugoslavia while Romania's Independenta and Poland's Vision have also taken rights.
Alain Resnais' Les Herbes Folles also went to Independenta and MCF. Other sales include Benelux (Victory Productions) Portugal (Atalanta) and Brazil (Imovision).
Victory and Vision also took Coach 14 title Galantuomini for Benelux and Poland, respectively. Coach has also reached a deal with Australia's Madman for Isidro Ortiz's horror flick Eskalofrio.
