Leading German independentdistributor Constantin Film Verleihhas extended its output deal with the ProSiebenSat.1 Group for a further twoyears.
The new arrangement, which takeseffect from February 2007, will cover all of the ConstantinGroup's national and international in-house and co-productions shooting betweenJanuary 1, 2007 and December 31, 2008.
Aside from the current deal -which covers box-office hits like Tom Tykwer's Perfume: The Story Of A Murderer andSebastian Niemann's Hui Buh: The Castle Ghost - the new pact encompassesfree TV rights to Constantin's first two productionsnext year: Why Men Don't Listen And WomenCan't Read Maps, Leander Haussmann's adaptationof Allan and Barbara Pease's bestseller; and the animation film Urmel Im Wunderland.
Free TV rights have alsobeen agreed to the live-action Asterix At The OlympicGames, a Euros 70m French-German-Spanish co-production, starring GerardDepardieu and Alain Delon; George Clooney actionthriller Michael Clayton; fantasyepic Bridge To Terabithia,from the producers of The Chronicles Of Narnia; and current theatrical releases Step Up and The Grudge 2.
