Digital distribution company Content Republic has taken worldwide digital rights to Conspiracy Of Silence from Flick Features.
Content Republic’s Teun Hilte negotiated the deal with producer Peter Kinkead for Flick.
John Deery wrote and directed the story, which looks at celibacy issues in the Catholic priesthood. Content Republic will release to its full range of international partners.
Hilte, the co-founder of Content Republic, said: “Conspiracy of Silence is one of an increasing number of titles that has fallen through the maze of traditional distribution in the current climate, which we believe has great potential for digital distribution.
“I am delighted that Content Republic have seen the enormous potential for a film like Conspiracy of Silence,” Deery added. “The celibacy issue in the Catholic Church is a time bomb waiting to go off and with worldwide distribution on the Internet, we are about to light the blue touch paper.”
