Dilip Mehta’s Cooking With Stella will open the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) in Hollywood on April 20.

Deepa Mehta produced the story, which stars Seema Biswas as the eponymous personal chef to the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi who runs an elaborate import business on the side.

“Deepa is a friend and past participant of our festival so we are especially proud to be showcasing her brother’s first feature film on our opening night,” IFFLA’s executive director Christina Marouda said.

The festival runs from April 20-25 at ArcLight Hollywood.
