Country music stars Mark Collie and Coley McCabe have teamed to star in independently financed romantic comedy Roper & Goodie which has started principal photography in Alabama, US.

Directed by commercial and documentary director Terry Moloney, the film is the story of a rodeo cowboy (Collie) who kidnaps a wealthy socialite (McCabe) and falls in love with her.

William S Gilmore and Shari Rhodes are producing the film; Gilmore's credits as executive producer include A Few Good Men and The Player, while he has produced films such as Little Shop Of Horrors, White Nights, Curse Of The Starving Class and The Sandlot.
