The Critics' Week, which earlier this week unveiled its line-up of films by first and second time directors, is to reach a public beyond Cannes by going on tour.

The 2001 selection will replay at the Cinematheque Corse in Porto-Vecchio (Corsica) on May 23, 24, 25 and 26 and Cinema des Cineastes in Paris (June 21-23). The series will be picked up in Rome, by the National Association of Cinema Auteurs (ANAC) from June 6-10 and the Savannah Film Festival (Georgia, US) will programme the line-up as a sidebar in October.

Other presentations made in association with the Critics' Week include: special screenings this month during the Buenos Aires festival; a nine-film retrospective in Paris (May 2-8); a selection of the Spanish films which have been shown during the Critics' Week, at Filmoteca Espanola in Madrid; an event at Harvard University (June 1- 10); and in September the Cineteca de Mexico will programme a selection of Critics' Week stand-out films.
