The Danish Film Institute has appointed the 66-year-old Morten Grunwald as film consultant in charge of new projects in collaboration with Vinca Wiedemann, film consultant since 1999, who, at the same time, has had her contract extended another two years. Between them, the consultants manage some $8.9m (DKR75.5m) annually.
Grunwald is a veteran in the Danish entertainment industry, who started out as an actor on stage and film, including the phenominally successful Olsen-Gang-films.
The film consultants were introduced in 1973, and have included Gert Fredholm, Morten Piil, Eric Crone, Sven Methling, Thomas Winding, Mikael Olsen and Gert Duve Skovlund.
