DDI trades on The Littlest Reindeer

Double Dutch International has closed deals on Awesometown’s Elliot: The Littlest Reindeer at AFM.
Splendid will release the film in Germany and Benelux and Freeman Distribution, Monolith and Blitz Film have acquired for Eastern Europe.

Production is set to begin in January on the on the $16m story of a miniature horse that bids to join Santa’s sleigh team.

Earlier in the market DDI announced it had struck an output deal with Awesometown on two to three animations a year in the $10-15m range.

“Double Dutch is pleased to announce these deals happening so quickly during AFM ‘14,” said DDI president Jason Moring. “The Awesometown deal has certainly made an impact for us and these deals are evidence of that. We’re excited to see what the week brings.”
