The Works UK Distribution has taken UK rights on Julie Delpy's Two Days In Paris, one of the buzz titles in this year's Berlinale.
The film, which screened as a Panorama special, stars Delpy, Adam Goldberg and Daniel Bruhl. It's about a New York-based couple on holiday in Europe, trying to put the romance back in their relationship. Two Days is handled by Paris-based Rezo International.
Two Days In Paris wasn't the only title on Rezo's slate attracting buyers in the European Film Market. Rezo has also closed several deals on Zhang Lu's competition entry Desert Dream. Golem has taken rights for Spain, EEAP has swooped for Hungarian rights, and Hong Kong has gone to Edko.
Rezo also reports strong interest on its new Volker Schlondorff title Ulzhan (which should be ready for Cannes.) A few deals have already been closed on the basis of the show reel. Arthouse Movies has taken all Latin-American rights and Rezo is in advanced negotiations with Italy, Benelux and Japan, and is already fielding offers on the title.
Meanwhile, Arthouse has taken Latin-American rights on two other Rezo titles, the new Eric Rohmer (The Romance Of Astrea And Celadon) and the new feature from Russian auteur Alexander Sokurov, Alexandra, also tipped to be ready for Cannes.
