While Matrix Revolutions took the box-office crown with a solid if not amazing 775 admissions screen average on its 79 prints, the film that was most influenced by it was Kill Bill, which dropped from number one to six, down some 60%.
Last week's new local release from newcomer Oliver Ussing, Rule Nr.1, managed to hang on at number three due to its 52 prints, while the steady Intolerable Cruelty moved up to second.
The two new releases defying The Matrix onslaught, the Hans Fabian Wullenweber's local experimental drama Gemini and Steve Martin vehicle Bringing Down The House, just managed to open inside the top 20, at seventeen and twenty respectively, with admission screen averages as low as 85 and 126.
