Though Finding Nemo had no problem hanging on to the top spot this week, with twice the screen average of two new releases Love Actually and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, this weekend's box-office total was down no less than 51,8% from last year.
Matrix Revolutions continued its rapid retreat from the chart, falling back another 52.2% and mustering a disappointing screen average. The only solid performer was Lars von Trier and Joergen Leth's playfully experimental documentary The Five Obstructions, which on just five prints lured 1.476 audiences over the weekend. In comparison the animated Christmas Carol's 12 prints sold only 880 tickets.
