Though The Return Of The King continued to be untouchable at the top, the new release of Once Upon A Time In Mexico managed to achieve up the highest admission screen average of 582, but it was only enough for a fourth position on the chart due to its 20 prints.
Meanwhile Calendar Girls climbed the chart to second, having lured 50,816 admissions in just two weeks. This weeks' other new releases, Jim Sheridan's critically praised In America, Jackie Chan's The Medallion and the highly anticipated documentary Tintin Et Moi all fared less impressively opening 13th, 15th and 18th respectively.
The latter is a feature-length documentary by Anders Oestergaard, which tells the untold story of Hergé the creator behind the world famous comics about Tintin. It was produced and released by Angel Films.
