Delphine Gleize, who has just received the best short film Cesar for Sale Batards, is preparing her first feature, Carnages.

French distributor Diaphana is backing the FFr20m film, set in the world of bull-fighting, which Jerome Dopffer of Balthazar Productions is producing. Dopffer produced most of Gleize's short films.

Gleize has also written the script which won the special jury prize for best script at the 1999 Junior Prize.

Production on the film is scheduled to start in summer 2000 in France, Spain and Belgium. Delivery is scheduled for March, 2001.
