UK independent DVD distributor Prism Leisure has signed a multi-picture deal with DIC Entertainment, the children's entertainment and programming producer and distributor, to exclusively distribute DIC's feature-length animated titles in the UK.
Among the titles are Sabrina, Dennis The Menace, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea and Inspector Gadget's Last Case. Mark Pearce, commercial director at Prism Leisure, said in a statement: "We are delighted to have reached an agreement with DIC Entertainment. Their animated stories have wide audience appeal and we are pleased to have these delightful tales in our expanding catalogue of titles."
Clive Jordan, vice president of international home entertainment at DIC Entertainment, added: "We are incredibly pleased to jump-start our DVD efforts in the UK with Prism. They bring a level of professional execution and commitment we have been seeking for some time."
Since its inception in 1983, IC Entertainment has produced more than 100 series and 3,000 episodes. Its library of children's animated TV includes Inspector Gadget, Sailor Moon, Sabrina The Teenage Witch. Prism Leisure has been established for more than 20 years and has a library than 1,000 DVD titles
