The Dallas Film Society announced on Thursday [28] the first ten films chosen to screen at the 7th annual Dallas International Film Festival.
Among them are director Jeff Nichols’ Southern fugitive drama Mud starring Matthew McConaughey, the competitive cup-stacking documentary Stacker and Rising From Ashes, a retelling of the story of survivors of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide who represented the Rwandan cycling team at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Selections hail from the festival’s native Texas as well as a variety of countries including Canada, the UK, South Africa, Rwanda, the Republic Of Ireland and France.
The festival is set to run from Apr 4–14 in Dallas, Texas, and will feature approximately 180 films in total.
