Ashutosh Gowariker will direct epic romance Mohenjo Daro for Disney India, with Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde heading the cast.

Disney India will co-produce with Ashutosh Gowariker Productions. The studio and filmmaker previously collaborated on Jodhaa Akbar, also starring Roshan, in 2008.

An epic adventure and love story set at the time of the Indus Valley civilization, Mohenjo Daro is scheduled to start shooting in South Africa in October.

Gowariker’s credits also include Lagaan: Once Upon A Time In India (2001), starring Aamir Khan, and Swades (2004) with Shah Rukh Khan.
