Berlinale opening film Benoit Jacquot’s Farewell, My Queen (sold by Elle Driver) has been snapped up for US distribution by by Cohen Media Group.
The deal was negotiated by Gary Rubin, Cohen Media Group’s executive vice president, who handles acquisitions for the company, and Adeline Fontan Tessaur co/director of Elle Driver, it was confirmed today by Charles S. Cohen, chairman and CEO of Cohen Media Group.

Our confidence is rooted in the fact that the Cohen Media Group has clearly demonstrated a particular understanding and interest in unique films; films like Farewell, My Queen,” . Fontan Tessaur stated.
CMG produced Oscar nominee Frozen River in 2008. The producer-distributor’s upcoming releases include The Lady, The Awakening and Confessions Of A Child Of The Century.
Farewell, My Queen stars Diane Kruger as Marie Antoinette. Further deals on the film are expected to be announced shortly.
