Sergei Yershov’s outfit has acquired CIS distribution rights.

Sergei Yershov’s Film Depot/Volga has acquired CIS distribution rights from Lionsgate to the marquee titles Machine Gun Preacher and The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman.

Machine Gun Preacher stars Gerard Butler as Sam Childers, the true-life reformed criminal who set up a mercenary force to liberate children from African war zones. Marc Forster will direct.

The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman stars Shia LaBeouf (pictured) as an ordinary man who falls for a woman attached to a violent crime lord. Dante Ariola will direct and Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa of Bona Fide Productions will produce along with William Horberg.
