More than 30 territories have already been sold on the film, including the US (Sony Pictures Classics), UK (Metrodome), France (Pretty Pictures) and Australia (Rialto). It took an impressive $8m in Spain at the end of last year through Alta Films.
Latido has also sold Miguel Albaladejo’s Spanish comedy Born To Suffer to Clip Art for Greece and Weisner Distribution for Santo Domingo/Puerto Rico. The film, which screened in the Panorama section at Berlin, is about a woman in her seventies (Petra Martinez) who has spent her life looking after her big family, but is terrified of them looking after her.
