Berlin-based content licensing company A Company on July 2 launched EEAP Film Distribution CZ-SK to cover distribution in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Managing Director Christine Daoudova [pictured] will run the new operation, based in Prague. EEAP CZ-SK will be a 100% subsidiary of A Company Consulting & Licensing, exploiting all theatrical and home entertainment rights in the two territories from affiliate EEAP Eastern European Acquisition Pool GmbH.
EEAP CZ-SK will also handle theatrical releases from other independent distributors in the territories, with a particular emphasis on acquiring and distributing local titles. Theatrical bookings in the Czech Republic will be done in association with local distributor Falcon at the outset. In addition, EEAP CZ-SK will act as EEAP’s local
representative for TV and VOD sales.
“Establishing EEAP Film Distribution CZ-SK is the logical next step in our expansion strategy,” said Alexander van Dülmen, chairman and CEO of A Company. “Christine Daoudova is the ideal candidate to manage our new venture with the goal of becoming the leading independent distributor in both markets.”
Daoudova joined A Company in 2005, handling acquisitions and sales before rising to manager, supervising TV and VOD sales across Central Europe.
Upcoming releases for EEAP CZ-SK include Dream House, The Ides Of March, Woman In Black, Hungry Rabbit Jumps and Cloud Atlas.
