Sally Potter’s Ginger & Rosa premiered in Telluride and will get a 2012 qualifying run before opening in theatres in early 2013. Alain Resnais’ You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet will open early next year.
Elle Fanning stars in Ginger & Rosa alongside newcomer Alice Englert, Alessandro Nivola and Christina Hendricks in the coming-of-age story about two girlfriends in 1960s London.
Ginger & Rosa played in special presentation in Toronto and will screen on Oct 8 in the New York Film Festival. A24 and Cinetic Media negotiated the deal. Christopher Sheppard and Andrew Litvin produced for Adventure Pictures and The Match Factory handles international sales.
Kino Lorber brokered the US deal for You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet with StudioCanal, who co-produced and handled international sales on the ensemble paen to love and theatre.
The film will play at the New York Film Festival. It is based on two works by Jean Anouilh and centres on the reading of a late playwright’s will. Mathieu Amalric stars with Pierre Arditi, Sabine Azema, Hippolyte Girardot, Anne Consigny, Michel Piccoli and Lambert Wilson.
- IFC Films has picked up North American rights from Submarine to Michael Walker’s comedy Price Check starring Parker Posey. The film premiered at Sundance and will open on VoD on Oct 1 and theatrically on Nov 16.
