Sony Pictures executives introduced the film to attendees at CinemaCon this week.
M Night Shyamalan directed the sci-fi adventure starring Will Smith and son Jaden Smith as Earth descendants who crash on the planet many years after it was abandoned.
Sony had originally set a Jun 7 release date for After Earth.
Film is currently in production, from Bafta-winning director Cherish Oteka.
Film will be released theatrically in spring 2025.
Andrew Bennett is to relocate to London from the US in an expanded role.
