Aktis Film picks up rights to Adnan G Kose’s hiphop drama

Aktis Film International has picked up international rights for Adnan G. Köse’s hiphop drama Homies (working title) which is shooting in Frankfurt and surroundings until the end of March.
 
The story of love and success in the style of Romeo & Juliet and High School Musical is headlined by German teenage star and rapper Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht in a young cast including Sabrina Wilstermann, Ismail Deniz, Ali Murtaza as well as veteran actor Günther Kaufmann and the dancer-choreographer Detlef D! Soost. The hiphop score will be composed by the German-English music producer Tai Jason.
 
Homies, which is being produced by enigma film with Rainer Kölmel’s Starhaus Filmproduktion and Odeon Pictures, will be released theatrically in Germany by Kinowelt in 2011.
