Anchor Bay Films has elected to release an unrated version of Steven R Monroe’s new take on Meir Zarchi’s horror classic I Spit On Your Grave.
The release has been scheduled for October 8 starting with late-night previews on Thursday, October 7 in select locations.
An R-rated version exists of the remake, however Anchor Bay Films top brass are keen to deliver the most intense version for horror fans.
Stuart Morse adapted the screenplay from Zarchi’s original story about a beautiful woman from the city who exacts revenge on the hillbillies who raped her while she rented an isolated cabin to write her book.
Sarah Butler, Jeff Branson, Daniel Franzese, Rodney Eastman, Chad Lindberg and Andrew Howard star.
CineTel Films’ Lisa Hansen and Paul Hertzberg produced and Zarchi, Alan Ostroff, Jeff Klein and Gary Needle served as executive producers.
