Eran Riklis’ drama about an unlikely alliance between a 12-year-old Palestinian refugee and an Israeli figither pilot premiered in Toronto and receives its US premiere on Nov 7 at AFI Fest. The film was the first to utilise the newly ratified UK-Israel co-production treaty.
Pathe is handling international sales at AFM and will also distribute in France, with deals already in place for Israel (United King), Germany & Austria (Senator/Telepool), Japan (CCC) and Poland (Kino Swiat).
Producers Gareth Unwin and Fred Ritzenberg commented: “Artificial Eye have made a name for themselves in their expert handling of a number of remarkable titles in recent times. We very much look forward to getting Zaytoun out to the British public working with this wonderful distributor”.
