EXCLUSIVE: Autlook Filmsales has snapped up worldwide rights - except North America - for Comic-Con: Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope, the latest film from Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me, Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden?)
The feature doc follows five attendees as they descend upon the ultimate geek mecca at San Diego Comic-Con 2010:
“The exclusive access to Comic-Con, San Diego was only made possible because this film is presented by the legendary Stan Lee and Joss Whedon (The Avengers),” Spurlock commented. “With Autlook we found a doc-driven distributor that puts it’s heart and soul in representing Docs for a theatrical market, I’ve been a fan of their catalogue and am very happy to work together.”
Autlook’s CEO Peter Jager added: “Morgan has made a terrific and moving film. The characters in the film are “nerds”, “geeks” and we get to know them as passionate young people, a lot like in the hit series The Big Bang Theory.”
Comic-Con: Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope is released in the US by Wrekin Hill Entertainment and will represented in Cannes this week by Autlook’s theatrical sales team: Astrid Guger and Peter Jager.
