Beta slate in demand; Hell goes to Arc Entertainment for US and Lionsgate for UK
German sales team Beta Cinema has seen strong sales on Academy Award nominee In Darkness, including deals for Italy (Good Films), Japan (New Select), South Korea (Pure), China (Champs Lis) and Brazil (Conquest) and Tim Fehlbaum’s debut Hell, which has sold to US (Arc Entertainment), UK (Lionsgate), France (Swift), Australia/New Zealand (Madman), Poland (Against Gravity) and Japan (New Select).
Rudolf van den Berg’s Dutch Holocaust film Suskind sold to Australia and New Zealand (Madman).
Beta also sold Men in the City II to Russia (Luxor) and Turkey (Medyavizyon) as well as the Mark Twain adventure Tom Sawyer to Italy (Rai Cinema) and Turkey (R Film). The melodrama about German-Turkish immigrant workers Almanya went to Eurozoom in France.
