Relativity is slotting the Kevin Costner drama into awards season with a one-week US qualifying run starting on December 3.

Mike Binder’s film starring Costner and Octavia Spencer will get a platform release on January 23 and expand one week later.

Gillian Jacobs, Jennifer Ehle, Anthony Mackie and Bill Burr also star in Black And White, about a man left to care for his biracial grand-daughter who confronts the girl’s paternal grandmother in a custody battle.

Costner, Binder and Todd Lewis produced the film, which premiered in Toronto. IM Global handles international rights.
