Steven C Miller’s new film hails from the producing team behind festival horror hit V/H/S. Bleiberg will commence sales in MIPCOM through its Compound B label.

Under The Bed is styled as a throwback to the 1980s horror and fantasy films and centres on the efforts of two brothers to banish a nocturnal monster. Jonny Weston and Gattlin Griffith star.

“What’s great about the film is it taps into a fear that we all knew and grew up with… and then takes it to a whole new level,” Compound B vp of acquisitions and development Nicholas Donnermeyer said.

“Steven is a seriously talented director. He and writer [Eric Stolze] did a great job of capturing the magic and atmosphere of the early Spielberg productions like Poltergeist and Gremlins.”

Brad Miska produced Under The Bed with Tom Owen and William Clevinger. Zak Zeman and Miller complete the executive producer roster.

Donnermeyer negotiated the deal on behalf of Bleiberg Entertainment with Zeman.
