IM Global’s genre title has been swiped off the shelf on the eve of the Cannes market following a buyers screening in Los Angeles last week.
CBS Films evp of acquisitions and co-productions Scott Shooman and colleague Jack Bleck negotiated the deal with IM Global head Stuart Ford [pictured], sales chief Jonathan Deckter, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Verve, who represent the filmmakers.
Derek Lee and Clif Prowse wrote and directed Ends Of The Earth, about two best friends whose round-the-world trip takes a surreal turn when they encounter a phenomenon that will change them forever.
Chris Ferguson and Zach Lipovsky produced the film with backing by Telefilm Canada. Ford, Automatik’s Kavanaugh-Jones and Alliance Films president Charles Layton served as executive producers.
IM Global handles international sales on the title in Cannes and Alliance Films will distribute in the UK, Canada and Spain.
