CBS Films has preemptively acquired US distribution rights for the gothic horror starring Daniel Radcliffe.

Cross Creek Pictures’ Brian Oliver negotiated the deal with CAA and Eric Greenfeld of Rosenfeld, Myers and Sussman.

Ciaran Hinds, Janet McTeer and Shaun Dooley also star in the Cross Creek Pictures, Hammer Films and Alliance Films production about a young lawyer (Radcliffe, pictured) who encounters the vengeful ghost of a scorned woman terrorising locals in a remote village.

Simon Oakes, Richard Jackson and Oliver are producing and Nigel Sinclair, Guy East and Roy Lee serve as executive producers.  Exclusive Films International is handling foreign sales.

James Watkins directed from Jane Goldman’s adaptation of the 1983 novel by Susan Hill.
