Continuing its longstanding relationship with Ken Loach, Belgian distributor Cineart has confirmed that it will release Loach’s latest The Angels’ Share (currently shooting in Glasgow).
The Loach film is among a number of acquisitions by Cineart, also including Cannes titles such as The Dardennes brothers’ The Boy On The Bike (Wild Bunch), Nanni Moretti’s We Have a Pope (Fandango Portobello), Paolo Sorrentino’s This Must be The Place (Pathe), Maiwen Le Besco’s Polisse (Wild Bunch), Radu Mihaileanu’s La Source Des Femmes (EuropaCorp), Robert Guediguian’s The Snows of Kilimanjaro (Films Distribution) and Pierre Schoeller’s The Minister (Doc + Film International).
Meanwhile, fellow Belgian distributor Lumiere has also acquired (as pre-buys) the Sarkozy biopic The Conquest (sold by Gaumont), the closing film The Beloved by Christophe Honore (sold by Celluloid Dreams), Andre Techiné’s Quinzaine entry Unforgivable (sold by TF1), Swedish auteur Ruben Ostlund’s Play (sold by Coproduction Office), and Critics’ Week entry 17 Girls (Films Distribution).
