The distributor and multi-faceted digital entertainment company has scheduled a series of screenings across the US through its independent Docurama label starting on Apr 22.
Cinedigm will stage multiple screenings of seven films in up to 15 US markets. Each screening will include a 3-5 minute, pre-taped Q&A by the film-makers.
Films in the series include Julien Temple’s London: The Modern Babylon, Yung Chang’s The Fruit Hunters [pictured], Nisha Pahuja’s The World Before Her and Freida Mock’s G-DOG.
The films will also receive DVD and digital distribution and they will be made available on the new Docurama app to be unveiled in late spring.
The app will launch with approximately 150 library titles and will be refreshed with 10-15 titles each week, including premieres of titles from the theatrical series.
Digital channels will include bonus content, film-maker interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and other short-form material.
