Cinedigm announced on Thursday [8] that it had acquired North American rights to the documentary Adventures Of The Penguin King from Atlantic Productions.

Adventures Of The Penguin King follows Rex, a young King Penguin living near the remote island of South Georgia also known as ‘Penguin City’, as he returns home to start a family.

The film was produced in association with BSkyB and US-based Galileo Digital Entertainment. Vincent Scordino negotiated the deal on behalf of Cinedigm with John Morris of Atlantic Productions.

Cinedigm plans a multi-platform release this winter on the film, shot in 4K and 3D.
