The trade show changes name and renews partnership with UNIC.
Cinema Expo International (June 27-30) and its longstanding partner Union Internationale des Cinémas (UNIC) have decided to rename the convention and trade show CineEurope.
It was also announced today that the two entities have renewed their long-term partnership, which makes CineEurope the official convention of UNIC.
“The name change reflects our continued commitment to the European motion picture community,” said Robert H. Sunshine, Managing Director of CineEurope.
“With CineEurope’s 20 years experience as the leading event for European cinema exhibition and UNIC’s membership and established contacts with international organizations in the film industry, as well as distributors, producers and film technology industries, CineEurope will be stronger and more productive than ever,” said Sunshine.
Now in its 20th year, the Amsterdam-based convention and trade show is one of the longest running events for the European cinema exhibition and distribution communities, bringing together thousands of exhibition professionals from more than 60 countries.
Serving to protect the interests of exhibitors, UNIC represents exhibitors and businesses from 19 European countries.
