Ed Noeltner’s Cinema Management Group (CMG) has closed further sales on Josh Fox’s award-winning documentary Gasland.

Noeltner has licensed rights to Festival Films in Spain, NHK in Japan and Digi Turk in Turkey. The film will open in the UK on January 21 through previously announced distributor Dogwoof.

Gasland earned the documentary special jury prize following its world premiere at Sundance 2010 and highlights the risks associated with an oil drilling practice called ‘fracking’ developed by energy giant Halliburton.

The film also received the special jury prize at Sarasota International Film Festival, the grand jury prize at Yale Environmental Film Festival, the Artistic Vision Award at Big Sky Film Festival and the audience award at Thin Line Film Festival.CMG
