UK outfit Content Film has acquired international rights to Nick Broomfield’s documentary Sarah Palin: You Betcha! which is premiering in Toronto.
Channel 4 has UK TV rights with Content representing International and Cassian Elwes the US.
The anticipated documentary, billed as a discovery of the real Sarah Palin, features a journey across the snows of Alaska to meet the Republican’s school friends, family, and colleagues.
Directed by Nick Broomfield (Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer, Heidi Fleiss: Hollywood Madam, Kurt & Courtney) and Joan Churchill, the film is produced Marc Hoeferlin (Battle for Haditha).
Content Film President, Jamie Carmichael said: ‘We’re delighted to be continuing our relationship with the fearless Nick Broomfield – who has yet again shown his talent for picking fascinating and timely subject matter.’
As announced today, the film will have its world premiere screening at the Toronto Film Festival next month in the Reel to Reel Section.
Content will also be selling Hick, starring Chloe Moretz and Blake Lively, which will premiere at the festival in Special Presentation.
