Berlin-based Delphi Filmverleih busy at Berlin and Unifrance Rendezvous.
Resurrected German indie distributor Delphi Filmverleih is back in business and looking for new films at this year’s Berlinale.
The Berlin-based company, who brought DCM Productions onboard as a 50% shareholder at the beginning of 2011 after a financial restructuring, had already picked up Maurice Barthelemy’s Low Cost and the current French box-office hit Les Emotifs Anonymes at the Unifrance Rendezvous last month.
Delphi now also has an untitled fictional documentary starring Christian Ulmen and Michael Glawogger’s new feature documentary Whore’s Glory lined up for release this year.
Delphi’s CEO Claus Boje told Screen that Detlev Buck’s next feature film, a 3D adaptation of Daniel Kehlmann’s bestseller Measuring The World (Die Vermessung Der Welt), will begin shooting in Germany, Austria and South America from mid-October and be released at the end of 2012.
Boje said that Delphi aims to release between 6-8 films a year from 2012.
