E1 Entertainment has taken UK and Irish rights to Doug Liman’s Cannes Competition title Fair Game, and for The Runaways. Both will be released later this year.
“E1 is thrilled to be bringing these terrific River Road Entertainment productions to UK and Irish audiences,” said Alex Hamilton, Director of Film with E1 Entertainment UK. “As a leading independent distributor in the UK, we’re committed to bringing premium theatrical releases to market and firmly believe that both of these quality pictures will resonate with our audiences.”
Fair Game stars Naomi Watts and Sean Penn in the story of former CIA operative Valerie Plame.
The Runaways stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in the story of the eponymous 1970s rock band.
The deal was negotiated by E1 Entertainment’s Lara Thompson, SVP Worldwide Acquisitions and David Garrett, President of Summit International, which held the UK rights to both titles.
