eOne books a Retreat

Entertainment One has acquired French and Scandanavian rights to the newly completed UK psychological thriller Retreat at Cannes.

The deal was concluded by Jo Sweby for Entertainment One with Sales Agent SC Films’ Simon Crowe who represent the film on behalf of Quickfire Films.

Thandie Newton and Cillian Murphy star in Carl Tibbetts’ debut.

Producer Gary Sinyor said “It’s great to know that France and Scandanavia will be in such good hands. Entertainment One have been tracking the project from script stage and they know that audiences will appreciate a dangerous and stylish thriller with great performances.”

Crowe added: “Following on from Sony’s recent acquisition for North America, this deal cements Retreat as a film audiences will be seeking out lobally in the coming year.”
