EXCLUSIVE: Nigel Sinclair (pictured) and Guy East’s ambitious company is said to be in early talks with a view to entering the domestic distribution arena as it emerged that at least another three new domestic distributors plan to launch within the next 12 to 18 months.

Exclusive Media could not be reached for comment on the development, which has been a major talking point at the market.

The company owns Newmarket Films and sources said it has been exploring ways of reconfiguring the label. The identity of the other new entities was not known at time of writing.

The Weinstein Company launched its VoD label Radius-TWC last year and both Magnolia and IFC have been active in the space for several years.
