Fandango acquires Italian rights to Lee Daniel’s Precious
Domenico Procacci’s Fandango has acquired Italian rights to Lee Daniels’ Oscar and Golden Globe winning film Precious: Based On The Novel ‘Push’ By Sapphire.
Fandango – which also publishes books under the Fandango Libri label – will first launch the book Precious by Sapphire, on April 22 in Italian bookstores. A spokesperson for Fandango said the company is aiming for theatrical distribution of the film in fall 2010.
Fandango’s international line-up for 2010 includes Gotz Spielman’s Revanche, Yannick Dahan and Benjamin Rocher’s The Horde, Micha Wald’s Simon Konianski, Andrew Lang’s documentary Sons Of Cuba, Jonnie To’s Vengance and Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden?, by Morgan Spurlock.
